Driving Abuse Treatment & Education (D.A.T.E.)

The D.A.T.E. program provides services for those arrested and convicted for driving while under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and / or other drugs. D.A.T.E. has programs for both first and multiple offenders. The program provides a variety of counseling and educational sessions designed to confront the dangers, often deadly, and always illegal behavior of driving while under the influence of alcohol and / or other drugs.

Wet Reckless (SB 1176)

• 12 hours of education

First Offender Services

3 Month Program (AB 541)

• 12 hours of education
• 18 hours of group cnslg
• 3 individual cnslg sessions
  (15 minutes each)

6 Month Program (AB 762)

• 12 hours of education
• 36 hours of group cnslg
• 4 individual cnslg sessions
  (15 minutes each)

9 Month Program (AB 1353)

• 12 hours of education
• 46 hours of group
• 13 individual cnsig sessions
  (15 minutes each)

Multiple Offender Serivces

12 Month Program (SB 38)

• Same as 18-month program below, excluding the last 6 months of re-entry.

18 Month Program (SB 1344)

• 12 hours of education
• 52 hours of group cnslg
• 26 individual cnslg sessions
  (15 minutes each)
• 6 sessions of Re-entry,
  1 hour per month
